If you've been missing Mass Effect since the slightly underwhelming Andromeda, you're in luck. Everreach: Project Eden is a sci-fi RPG coming to PC and Xbox One this September. The game will also hit PS4 at some point in the future.

In Everreach: Project Eden, you play as Nora Harwood, a member of the Everreach Security Division. Harwood is on a mission to colonize the planet of Eden. Things go wrong, as they inevitably will, and Harwood must get to the bottom of what's happening on Eden. To do this, she'll need to descend into the planet's depths and discover the secrets of a long-forgotten civilization. The Mass Effect vibes aren't by accident. If you are hurting for more Mass Effect, it looks like Everreach: Project Eden has you covered. In a press release, developer Elder Games promises "intense shooter action and a compelling level and skill system". The trailer shows off on-foot traversal as well as Harwood's hoverbike, which will be used to battle enemies and explore out-of-the-way places. Everreach: Project Eden will offer tactical battles, a skill tree with over 80 upgrades, and an 8-hour story to sink your teeth into.

The pedigree behind this one is pretty impressive. One of the game's artists is Mai-Anh Tran, whose previous works include movies like Warcraft and Star Trek: Beyond. Former Mass Effect narrative QA and game writer Michelle Clough is helping out with Everreach: Project Eden, and there's even a voice actor in there you might recognize (D.C. Douglas, who voiced Legion in Mass Effect 2). All in all, this one's shaping up to be a must-play if you're a sci-fi RPG fan.

Everreach: Project Eden launches for PC and Xbox One in September. The game will also launch for PlayStation 4 in the future. No word on a release date for Sony's console yet.
