The post-release content for Marvel's Spider-Man has been announced. The City That Never Sleeps will be the game's first major piece of DLC and will be broken up into three parts. All three parts of the expansion are scheduled to release by the end of the year.

The Heist is the first part of this DLC and will launch October 23. This first piece of the post-release content focuses on Felicia Hardy (Black Cat). Throughout the base game, Black Cat will leave clues for Spidey and toy with the web-slinger, which will culminate in the events of The Heist.

This first piece of Spider-Man DLC will include new missions and challenges, a new faction of enemies and three new suits to unlock. The following two parts of The City That Never Sleeps are Turf Wars and Silver Lining. They will release in November and December respectively. No details have been revealed about these, however, and there's no indication that they will continue the Black Cat's misadventures. They will all feature their own story missions, challenges, and suits.

There could be any number of villains taking center stage in Turf Wars, and Silver Lining sounds like a reference to Silver Sable, who is already known to be in the game. What these pieces of DLC will entail is a bit of a mystery at this point, but they certainly sound interesting.

The City That Never Sleeps is now available on the PlayStation Store, where you can buy all three installments for a bundle price of $24.99. Each of the three installments is also available separately for $9.99 each.

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man will get you the game and The City That Never Sleeps for $79.99. The steelbook edition of the game will also include this DLC.

spider man photo mode

Insomniac Games have also announced that a Photo Mode will be available for Spider-Man as part of a day-one patch.

The trailer (yes, apparently photo mode gets a trailer now) shows off some of the fun and ridiculous ways you can frame Spidey and overload him with filters, stickers, and other nonsense. Like every good photo mode, it includes a selfie mode that will allow players to take some suitably hilarious snaps of the web-slinger hanging out with some very angry-looking thugs.

The photo mode looks pretty capable and varied, and in particular, seems designed to let you feel like you're creating something from a comic book. It seems like Insomniac have put effort into making this fun addition flexible and dynamic. It also fits Peter Parker's background in photography to be taking his own pictures and he often does for Jameson take pictures of himself as Spiderman doing things.
