Marvel’s Spider-Man, originally released on September 7th, just got some new major game updates that fans have been begging for. The first is the addition of New Game+ to the game, which lets you replay the game with the suits, gadgets, powers, and upgrades from a previously finished game. That’s good news, considering the other major update to the game is the addition of Ultimate difficulty game mode. Each of these two updates also has an associated trophy available to snag at the same time.

The updates to the game (1.07 and 1.08) also include new photo mode options which will allow you to access it quicker from the d-pad. Stickers and layers are now able to be rotated and you can add as many puddles as you want, though the game doesn’t guarantee that Spidey won’t go back up the water spout. The addition of puddles and the ability to now have Spider-Man point at himself in shock are both nods to Spider-Man associated memes, one stemming from the brouhaha known affectionately as “Puddle-gate.”

The update also adds support for the first DLC release for Marvel’s Spider-Man which is due out on October 23rd. Titled The Heist it’s set to star Spidey and his famous foe Black Cat, and will have additional missions, challenges, suits and new factions of enemies to face. The Heist is the first of three DLC chapters in a series, collectively titled Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. The other two chapters are set to release in November and December.

Are you ready to dive back in to play Spider-man with New Game Plus or is it more your thing to grab the challenge of Ultimate difficulty? Going for both or are you waiting for The Heist to release? Any pictures you plan to puddle up? Let us know in the comments below!
