Games utilizing the Warhammer licence have been extremely numerous as of late, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

Man O’ War: Corsair is to be released on Steam’s Early Access on April 15th. It is being made by Evil Twin Networks, the developers behind the PC title Victory At Sea.

“We’ve been blown away by the response to our plans for Man O’ War: Corsair so far, and our growing community have already been incredibly supportive,” said James Carroll, Director at Evil Twin Artworks. “We’re big believers in the power of fan feedback and collaboration so we’re excited to be able to announce our Early Access date, and look forward to getting the game into people’s hands.”

Man O’ War: Corsair features a ‘huge’ open world where players can explore over 50 ports and command allies from different races from Warhammer lore, including Orcs, High Elves, Dwarfs, Dark Elves, Skaven, Pirates, Chaos, and Sea Monsters. Players can also expect to customize their characters, fleets of sailing vessels, cannons, spells, and “mythical creatures all clashing on an epic scale.”

The game itself is based upon Games Workshop’s Man O’ War tabletop game, where players will control a ‘rogue’ captain of the Empire or a Champion of Chaos. As expected, players can plunder enemy ships, and can board opposing ships with “direct control over your Captain as you take the fight to the enemy.”

In order to do battle with the enemy, players will be allowed to hire wizards and other magical beasts, while also being able to trade with other Captains, vessels, and ports. Man o’ War looks to be a single-player only experience, and will cost $29.99.
