Humble Bundle Little Nightmares

Just under two months ago, a little indie puzzler by the name of Little Nightmares took the gaming community by surprise. It was weird, it was creepy, and it had a brilliant, Henry Selick-inspired art style for the ages. Shockingly, it didn't take long for the wider world of entertainment to take note of this offbeat title, and plans had already begun to bring it to the small screen under the watchful eyes of executive producers Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War) before the game even released.

While the announcement may come as a shock, the man the Russos are in talk with to direct the pilot shouldn't be - the aforementioned Henry Selick himself, the Academy Award-nominated director of the all-time classic stop-motion films The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline. According to The Hollywood Reporter, also producing is Dj2 Entertainment's Chief Content Officer Dan Jevons, who you may remember from his recently announced role as producer in the film adaptation of the early access title We Happy FewLike We Happy Few, the series will be following the plot of the game, and like We Happy Few, there is no release date announced for Little Nightmares.

Quick Take

I'm usually not much of a TV guy. Personally, whenever I want to unwind or have an artistic experience™, I stick with movies, books, or naturally, video games. But I gotta admit, this might bring me over. Little Nightmares easily has the best art direction of any game released thus far in 2017, and Henry Selick is one hell of a director (Naturally, Monkeybone not included). If the series looks at least half as good as the game (And let's be real, it'll probably look better), I can see myself hopping on board. Besides, this is a game with a giant, scary monster chef. That's awesome.
