Life Is Strange

It's been a month since the season finale for Life is Strange released, and now fans of the paranormal adventure game cult hit can look forward to a physical limited edition to add to their collection. The box will feature several Arcadia Bay flavored goodies like a 32-page art book (that looks like Max's notebook from the game) with previously unreleased concept art, two discs with the licensed soundtracks and the original score composed by Jonathan Morali, and developer commentary. This version of the game will also ship with newly added subtitle support for German, Italian, Castilian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese speakers.

Life Is Strange Limited Edition

Life is Strange producer Luc Baghadoust had this to say in the official announcement:

The response to Life is Strange really has blown us away! To be able to share that experience with our fans in a traditional boxed format is something we’re really excited about and the decision to include the extra items for the Limited Edition is a direct response to fan requests.

The limited edition will be available for Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4, and will include the entire first season. You can pre-order your copy today or you can wait until the release date on January 22, 2016.

Quick Take

As some of you may know, I was (and still am) really enamored by the game's atmosphere and gorgeous aesthetic. I was so impressed that I gave it one of the highest scores I could give it, and it has now taken its place in my top 10 favorite games of all time. I'm not usually one for limited editions, but I'll make an exception this time, since the special edition includes a copy of the absolutely stunning original score that made the game feel that much more special to me. I hope they do a second season.

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
