Naughty Dog has patched The Last of Us Remastered to add PlayStation 4 Pro support according to a post on the official PlayStation forums.

Patch 1.09 for The Last of Us Remastered and Patch 1.03 for The Last of Us Remastered: Left Behind have been released with features that focus on providing more graphical options for PlayStation 4 Pro owners. Players will be able to enter a new menu with additional options and presets that allow the tweaking of resolution, framerate, and shadow quality. These will allow players to fine-tune their gameplay experience whether they are playing the game on a 4K display or a smaller HD television, the latter of which can still provide some measure of visual performance improvement through supersampling.

Aside from the new graphical options for PS4 Pro players, a couple of bug fixes were implemented in these patches. An issue that was causing players to inadvertently aim downward in multiplayer has been fixed. Furthermore, an exploit in multiplayer which allowed players to enter level collision by throwing a smoke bomb has been closed. The previous patches (1.08 for The Last of Us Remastered and the Left Behind DLC) added native 1080p support for users who were playing the game on a PS4 Pro. The Last of Us Remastered was one of a set of games that were tested by Digital Foundry and found to have performance issues on Sony’s latest iteration of their flagship console.

The Last of Us was originally released for the PlayStation 4 in June of 2013 with the remastered version of the game dropping in July of the following year. A sequel titled The Last of Us Part II was announced at PlayStation Experience 2016 and is still in development. However, it will not be led by co-director Bruce Straley as he is leaving Naughty Dog.
