The fourth Overwatch League team has been revealed as The Los Angeles Valiant according to a news post on the league’s official website.
The city of Los Angeles, California has the distinction of having two teams for the inaugural season of the professional Overwatch competitive environment. This particular team is backed by the Immortals e-sports organization. Their logo is a gold-winged helmet which represents the city’s long tradition of professional sports championships. The team’s official colors are green and gold. The Los Angeles Valiant is headed by Immortals CEO Noah Whinston who put out a video discussing the team and their plans for the future:
Los Angeles is the home of two Overwatch League teams, and Los Angeles County has the distinction of hosting Blizzard Arena Los Angeles in Burbank, California. The arena hosted the Overwatch Contenders Season One Playoffs where teams for Europe and North America were crowned the winners earlier in October 2017.
Each team has a unique skin, and Valiant will be repped by Mercy who will don a primarily green outfit with black as the secondary color and gold accents:
The Los Angeles Valiant is the fourth officially announced team for the league. Three other teams have been revealed so far – the Shanghai Dragons, the Dallas Fuel, and the San Francisco Shock. A recent trademark filing indicates three other team names – the Los Angeles Gladiators, the New York Excelsior, and the Miami Mayhem.
