Lady Gaga could be making an appearance in CD Projekt Red's upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.

French gaming portal ActuGaming claims that sources close to it saw Gaga in CD Projekt Red's studios and that this indicates a collaboration between the artist and the developer. We don't know yet whether Gaga will be motion captured into the game or whether it's just her voice the Polish studio is after. ActuGaming's source "prefers to remain anonymous," so the veracity of this information isn't quite bulletproof.

This wouldn't be the first time CD Projekt Red and Gaga have "interacted." Back in September 2018, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account retweeted one of Gaga's old tweets from 2012. Gaga's tweet is just a string of letters and numbers, but CD Projekt Red's response was "Of course! Of course we will!" followed by an emoji. The nature of and reason for this interaction is unclear, but it does lend a little credence to the idea that Gaga will appear in the game in some form.

ActuGaming's source also says that CD Projekt Red is gearing up to announce the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 at this year's E3 conference in June. Supposedly, the Gaga collaboration will be officially announced at the same time. Without official word on this, it's all just speculation, so stay tuned for more info as and when we get it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming first-person RPG developed by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red. The game is an adaptation of the 1988 tabletop system Cyberpunk 2020 and follows V, a mercenary who can be customized extensively by the player. Cyberpunk 2077 will be CD Projekt Red's most ambitious title to date, with around 400 staff working on the game as compared to The Witcher 3's 250. We still don't have a release date for the game, but if ActuGaming is to be believed, then we'll get one in June.
