Modiphius have just launched their latest Kickstarter for the Kung Fu Panda Board Game. The Kung Fu Panda Board Game is a cooperative board game where players can play as one of the Furious Five or Po himself and work together in timed rounds to move around the board, defeat enemies and complete objectives. Each round players roll action dice which show your available actions, such as movement, kicking, punching and Chi as well as the Claw symbol which activates the Dial of Destiny which triggers enemy spawns an attacks.

We’re big fans of ‘theme’ over at the TechRaptor Tabletop Team, rather than just IPs fitted on to games, and the Kung Fu Panda Board Game looks full of frantic dice rolling theme. Modiphius showed great understanding of instilling theme in their games as we found with the Fallout Wasteland Warfare preview we had.

See below for the game trailer and an example of play.

The Kung Fu Panda Board Game is designed by Kristian Osterby (Escape from the Temple) and Nick Fallon (Airfix Battles) and is being developed and produced by Modiphius Entertainment who are known for their highly successful Kickstarter for Fallout Wasteland Warfare and for the Thunderbirds Cooperative Game and the upcoming 5th Edition of Vampire the Masquerade.

During the game, players will come up against Ox Grunts, Wolf Slashers & Spearmen, the Wolf Boss and Tai Lung himself, but a full list of stretch goals will open up further enemies for the players to battle.

You can find the Kickstarter here or see the game details on Modiphius’ own site.

Kung Fu Panda is set for release in Spring 2019.
