A video game based on the TV show Moonshiners is coming. The game will be a joint venture between Polish developer Klabater and Discovery Inc.

Moonshiners focus' on a group of illegal moonshine producers in the Appalachian mountains. The show provides a window into their struggles with law, rival moonshine producers, and nature. According to the devs, the Moonshiners game will "revive the most iconic moments and locations from the television series", introducing its own scenarios and characters along the way. Discovery Inc says it's excited about the game, while Klabater says its approach is "uniquely complimentary" to Discovery's licensing and market potential.

Moonshiners will allow players to build and maintain their own unique moonshine apparatus. You'll be able to make your own moonshine as well as finding legendary recipes out in the game's world. You'll need to keep an eye out for the police, of course. Running away from law enforcement is an option, as is bribing them. The game takes place in the Appalachian mountains, an area of misty forests, police raids, and forest stills. There will also be a business sim element in deciding to whom you'll sell your product. We don't actually know exactly what kind of game Moonshiners is yet. We'll bring you more on this as we get it.

Klabater is an indie development and publishing studio based in Warsaw, Poland. The studio's previous projects include We: The RevolutionHeliborne, and Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs. Discovery Inc is a worldwide entertainment brand with a TV portfolio that includes Food Network, Discovery Channel, and Travel Channel. Moonshiners represents the first collaboration between the two. It'll be available in fall next year, although we don't know exactly when just yet.
