Kingdom: New Lands is your next free Epic Games Store title. The game will become available to download for free on June 6th. That's also the date when current freebie City of Brass will go back to costing actual monies.

There's also been a change in regime for the Kingdom IP. Once owned by Dutch developer Thomas van den Berg (also known as noio), the Kingdom property now belongs to Swedish indie publisher Raw Fury. Said studio was already the game's publisher, but they now fully own the rights to the Kingdom intellectual property. The company says it's honored to continue van den Berg's "wonderful creation" and that offering the game via the Epic Store is a celebration of their acquisition. We don't yet know what Raw Fury intends to do with Kingdom other than this giveaway. Here's hoping for more Kingdom-related stuff in the future.

Kingdom: New Lands is a reworked version of the original Kingdom. The game adds a plethora of new content to the game while maintaining its simplicity and depth. Players will travel to the New Lands in an attempt to build a kingdom. While there, they'll encounter a range of new mounts, merchants, and vagrants, as well as plenty of new obstacles threatening their budding realm. New Lands asks players to figure things out by themselves; not much is tutorialized, so players must figure out what items, NPCs, and mysterious statues do by themselves. All of these things will be crucial to building a successful kingdom, so it's up to you to puzzle out their many mysteries.

You can grab City of Brass right now for free via the Epic Games Store. On June 6th, you'll be able to get Kingdom: New Lands for free. Usually, a new free game becomes available on the Epic Store every two weeks. This time around, you're getting two for the price of...well...nothing. Not bad.
