According to a recent press release by Square Enix, the first update for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix for Playstation 4 has been released on Playstation network. This free update fixes a few minor and major bugs, including errors saving files for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. Additionally, Theatre Mode is now available for Kingdom Hearts I Final Mix, allowing players to rewatch cutscenes without having to go back and replay the game, and an additional cutscene has been added for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, titled “Day 357: Tears.”

Originally released on March 28, 2017, for the Playstation 4, Remix is a compilation of the previously released Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix and 2.5 Remix, both released for Playstation 3. It collects six entries of the Kingdom Hearts series together on one disc – Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix and Birth By Sleep Final Mix, as well as HD remastered cutscenes from 358/2 Days and Re:Coded, both originally entries to the series released for Nintendo DS. The most recent entry in this long-running series was Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, released for the Playstation 4 on January 12 in Japan and January 24 in the rest of the world. Also a compilation title like 1.5 and 2.5 Remix, 2.8 included Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover movie and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-.

A new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III was recently revealed by Square Enix, with more information and the reveal of a new world promised to come at D23 on July 15.
