Kingdom Death: Monster exploded onto Kickstarter on November 22, 2012 with pictures of incredible miniatures and amazing art. By the time that the campaign had fully run its course, Kingdom Death: Monster had managed to raise an astounding $2,049,721 from over 5,000 different backers.

In the time since the campaign came to a close the game has grown into a monstrous box chock full of cards, miniatures, tokens and art, weighing in at a very hefty 16 pounds, as creator Adam Poots continued to add things to the base game box as each stretch goal was reached. Numerous pictures of miniatures and many shots of the game's incredible art have surfaced over the intervening years since the campaign finalized but, as the numerous proposed delivery dates came and went, the one thing that has remained almost completely a mystery has been the game's gameplay.

TechRaptor managed to sit down with Kingdom Death at GenCon 2015 and spend time not only talking about the cooperative game but also play through a demo of a monster encounter as well as talk about some of the different phases of the game. Watch the video below to get a glimpse of an encounter with the game's White Lion monster as well as details about the Settlement phase and some of the choices that players will be faced with, such as an important decision that will need to be made when the players Settlement faces their first casualty.

For kickstarter backers and people who want to avoid spoilers of any sort please note that there is brand new information shown in the video below in addition to the gameplay shown.

Kingdom Death: Monster is not going to be for the faint of heart. Keep an eye out for our upcoming interview with Kingdom Death: Monster creator Adam Poots as well where we talk about when people will be able to get their hands on the game as well as additional details about how the campaign works, how many hours of play players can expect, perma-death and much more!
