Warhorse Studios has just released a taste of their open-world RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The video shows a day in the lives of the people of Samopše, quiet village in the center of Europe 1403, where everything seems peaceful and quiet. It looks to be a place from a simpler time, when life didn't weigh as heavy on the heart and your biggest problem was keeping bread on the table. The tune that plays throughout the video only adds to this, giving off a feeling like you're listening to a bard who stopped to play while passing through town.

They haven't given us much of a look into the combat yet; the only hint of conflict in the video is a moment about a third of the way through where a hunter is tending to a deer he killed. For a game that promises to have "unique melee combat, castle sieges, battles and quests" this is an interesting rout, but one that certainly does a good job showcasing the setting of the game.  This leaves the real meat of the gameplay a mystery for now, adding to the anticipation of what the game will have to offer.

The Pre-Alpha build is released later this month. You can gain access to it by becoming a backer for their game.

Been playing games for over half my life. I like to think that I have a wide variety of tastes in genres, while still being mindful of quality.
