The developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance have released an update that adds a free HD Texture & Audio pack alongside some special Easter content according to a news post on the game’s Steam Community page.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a game where players take on the role of Henry, the son of a blacksmith. While many fantasy titles have you becoming Emperor of everything to the left of the ocean or collecting knighthoods like they’re Gen 1 Pokémon, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a bit more realistic with your impact on the world. A free update has been released that adds some optional HD Goodies and some new bits of content, much of which is Easter-themed. A video detailing the update was released alongside this announcement:
To start, the HD Texture Pack, HD Sound Pack, and HD Voice Packs for English, French, and German are now available as free optional downloads on the PC. These are pretty straightforward bits of DLC that either increase the visual or audio fidelity. Players simply have to download their chosen DLC and enable it in-game; you can always disable it later if it proves to be not to your tastes or too much for your PC to handle.
As for the gameplay portion of the update, Easter Eggs (including a golden one!) have now popped up in the game for you to collect if you’d like a mild diversion from all the brutal medieval combat. A traditional Czech weapon called a “Pomlazká” has been added to the game, although it’s not so much a weapon as it is a tool traditionally used to playfully spank women on Easter Monday.
New hair & beard mechanics have been added to the game, and a number of bugs have been fixed in this latest patch as well; read the full patch notes (and those for the later hotfix) for all of the details. If you don’t yet own Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you can pick it up on Steam for $59.99 or your regional equivalent. Be sure to check out our review to read more about the game and its mechanics!
