There is an up and coming RPG catching attention for its unique twist to a genre that’s flooded with fantasy. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a first-person open-world RPG set in Europe during the 15th century, and it places an emphasis on realism.

It was a tough road for the project up until Warhorse Studios launched a crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter and reached its goal of £300,000 in a mere 36 hours. At time of writing, funds currently sit at £387,077 (around $638,000) which outshines the desired objective.

In light of the funding victory, stretch goals have now been added, allowing supporters to view possible enhancements and pledge money to enrich the experience. Presently, there are only four stretch goals, with each one offering up a new addition such as live in-game period music, a symphonic orchestra soundtrack, a playable female character, and performance motion capture.

Daniel Vavra was not sure his vision for a lifelike RPG would ever truly see the light of day but now it seems that this medieval open-world game will have gamers everywhere immersed in battles and castle sieges.

With the funding campaign still having 26 days left on the clock, there is no doubt that enthusiasts will see additions for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which will debut on PC, Linux, and Mac with the possibility of appearing on Xbox One and PS4.

The game will have three acts, with the first portion intended to appear sometime towards the end of 2015. Watch the trailer and imagine all the adventures your character will embark on. Who knows? Maybe you will even have the option to play a stealthy female character.
