At the Kinda Funny E3 2019 Showcase the premiere for the trailer for Lucifer Within Us was unveiled. The game will task you with solving murders and exorcising demons as a digital exorcist. The game comes from Kitfox Games, the makers behind the equally off the wall The Shrouded Isle, a management simulator focusing on cults.
Lucifer Within Us focuses on its investigation gameplay with you gathering intel on the various suspects you find for any given case you'll be encountering. Each suspect will have their own agenda and motivations as you interview and investigate them, and they obviously won't always be telling the truth. Demonic AI will be a main antagonist in the game, they will be using their connection to the technology that we use every day to manipulate and corrupt people leading them to commit unspeakable acts.
Kitfox Games describes the world of Lucifer Within Us as such:
As a digital exorcist working for the Church of Ain Soph’s Inquisition, it is your duty to find sinners and ensure continued harmony. Digital daemons corrupt the network causing human hosts to act on secret desires and sins, even unto murder. Discover the One Truth to determine which citizens are infected and exorcise the possessed. Use all of the tools at your disposal to find the truth, wherever it may hide… and beware the lies you tell yourself.
As of now Lucifer Within Us will only be coming to PC, so we'll need to wait and see if the game will be available on any other platforms. There is also no release date has been revealed at this time, but it does seem to be decently far along in development if the teaser is any indication, so hopefully, we won't be waiting too long to get our hands on the game.
