The KFG Showcase E3 2019 is the best place to find info on some of the best indie titles out there. Ribbiting Saga is a dungeon-crawling, puzzle-solving action game starring a small green frog in knights armor. The game tasks the players with saving 4 captures heroes and has dungeons that change based on the choices made by the players. The game has a very interesting pixel-art aesthetic that seems to throw back to titles like the original Legend of Zelda games, as well as numerous other pixel-based adventure games.

Not only was a gameplay demo shown via a trailer with some awesome music, but the game actually has a demo which was released to coincide with the KFG Showcase. You can get your hands on a demo version of the game right now over at the game's official Kickstarter page. The Kickstarter page is actually still going, and need another $46K to actually be funded, so if you like the demo and want to actually get your hands on the full title at some point in the future, it might be worth sinking some money into one of those reward tiers.

Despite the game's clear fondness for older games, the developers appear to want to steer clear of the many traps which other indie titles have fallen into. On their site, they proudly claim that the game is tough but fair, and doesn't need to rely on randomness to kick the player's butt. Of course, the use of random generation and rogue-like elements has become pretty rife over the past few years, especially for indie games, but are the lack of those features so rare that they require touting? Only time will tell if this is a genuinely useful marketing strategy.

Ribbiting Saga is currently live over at the game's Kickstarter page, where it has made $3,357 of it's $50k goal, and has 28 days still left to go before the campaign closes.
