The Kinda Funny Showcase at E3 brought news of an assortment of games moving from PC to consoles. Aground joins the pack with a console port for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game's successful Kickstarter allowed Fancy Fish Games to move it from concept to demo and even Early Access release on PC.

Players take the role of a builder, hoping to create a lasting society from nothing. Mine, build and assemble your tribe as you work your way towards some semblance of civilization. Familiars let you capture helpful creatures and put them to work. Spirits linger on the other side, waiting for those who can find them. Early access gives players the ability to smelt, craft and cook. Enemies and bosses seek to delay your civilization's rise to greatness, and blueprints make crafting larger structures quick and simple. Quests help new players find their footing in the often-harsh world, and multiple planets are available for would-be tribes in the current Early Access version of the game.

Early reviews of Aground on Steam are currently Very Positive, and players can provide feedback directly to the developers during the Early Access period, allowing them to have a real voice in how the title develops. New items, enemies and blueprints are constantly added, and the publisher has promised additional planets and game options in the near future. The demo is available on Kongregate, Newgrounds and Armor Games for those looking to experience Aground for themselves without putting down the $9.99 Early Access Steam cost.

The PC version of Aground is available on Steam currently in Early Access. Release versions are expected for all consoles and PC in summer of 2020.

Edit: Altered where we listed the release date as Summer 2019 to Summer 2020
