It appears that the DLC characters for Jump Force, Bandai Namco's anime crossover fighting game, have been slipped out. The leak (found by YouTuber Mizumi) allegedly came straight out of the game's executable file.

That's right. The file that literally runs the game revealed the yet-unannounced DLC characters in the works. It seems someone screwed up pretty monumentally. I sure hope no one gets fired.

The nine leaked characters - from a variety of animes, including Bleach and Naruto - are as follows: Kaiba, Toshiro, Biscuit, Allmight, Buu, Bakugo, Madara, Grimmjow, and Law.

Along with the forthcoming DLC characters, four other names surfaced from this leak. Hyoga, Shun, Kenpachi, and Byakuya. Although the origin of these characters is uncertain (it's unclear whether they were removed or originally planned), they show up before the nine DLC characters in the list alongside the game's launch cast. Who knows if we'll see these fighters appear in future DLC, but it seems they were considered for the game at some point.

Furthermore, there are three other characters that also show up as part of the leak. These fighters - Kane, Galena, and Prometheus (the game's final boss) - are in the game already but aren't playable. They show up as KanePlayable, GalenaPlayable, etc. but there's no way to play as them without breaking the game. According to Mizumi, you can force these characters to be playable but it'll cause the game to crash.

The messed up thing is that Bandai Namco actually promised that Kane would be playable in a now-deleted tweet from last year when he is, in fact, not. It's unclear exactly why these characters show up as they do and whether we'll ever see them added as DLC, but the whole thing is undeniably messy.

If you want to find out our thoughts on Jump Force, check out our review, which hints that no matter how many DLC characters they add, it won't fix the core issues with the game.

What do you think? Do you think the leak is credible? Are you disappointed or surprised by any of the characters? Let us know in the comments!
