Joking Hazard: Deck Expansion #1, the first expansion for the Joking Hazard card game created by the people behind the webcomic Cyanide & Happiness, is now available. The expansion was originally announced by a trailer on the official Cyanide & Happiness YouTube Channel:

Joking Hazard is a party game that plays out in a similar vein to social games like Cards Against Humanity and Apples to Apples. Gameplay is relatively straightforward – a judge is selected and a random panel card is drawn and placed down to begin the “comic” that players will create. Next, the judge plays the second card from their own hand to set up the punch line. Finally, all of the other players must submit one of their own cards to finish out the comic and the judge selects the one they like the best. That player becomes the new judge and the game continues for however long you’d like.

Joking Hazard: Deck Enhancement #1 adds 100 new cards to the base game’s 360 cards. No special rules or additional features are being added in this expansion; it’s simply an increase in the number of potential combinations for comics. If you do pick it up, you’ll only have to take the cards from the expansion and add them into your regular deck. The extra cards should fit into the base game’s box, but the manufacturer cautions that you might not be able to squeeze them all in if you have sleeves on the cards. The expansion was originally sold at Pax South 2017 back in January.

If you already own Joking Hazard and would like to add some more cards to your game, you can pick it up from The Cyanide & Happiness Store or from Amazon [Affiliate Link]. You can also pick up the original base game at The Cyanide & Happiness Store and Amazon [Affiliate Link].
