Berserk Mozgus

Two days ago, Koei Tecmo revealed that the agile warrior Serpico would be joining the roster for Omega Force's upcoming Berserk musou. Now, the official Japanese website has updated with new screenshots of Serpico and Schierke in action along with a handful of teases for what's to come.

The first thing of note would be the "story" tab, which features a rundown of the Tower of Conviction arc along with accompanying pictures of key moments and characters. It's worth noting that while the segment covering the Golden Age arc featured images from the recent movie trilogy, the pictures featured here—showcasing Mozgus, Skull Knight, Lady Franese, and the Egg Apostle—all seem to be taken from in-game cutscenes as opposed to the currently-airing CG anime. While it is highly unlikely Franese and the Egg Apostle will actually be playable in game, it seems only natural that Skull Knight and Mozgus will be playable in the full release.

Also new to the site is the "privileges" page, which showcases what appears to be pre-order bonuses for the game's Japanese launch in September, including the controversial "bathing Casca" outfit along with new costumes such as gold and silver skins for Guts and Griffith respectively. But perhaps more exciting than any of those, the fan-favorite pirate costume for Schierke is headlining the page. It is currently unknown if these skins will be available with the western release this fall.

Quick Take

Every time I check back on this game it looks more and more exciting. While Mozgus and Skull Knight aren't officially confirmed for the game, I don't think you can really have a Berserk musou without giving the old Knight of Skeleton a chance to shine. Of course, Mozgus isn't a bad addition either.

And, as always, gotta get that playable Wylad.
