The Jak And Daxter PS2 Classics will be available for download on the PlayStation 4 tomorrow according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Jak And Daxter is a franchise from a simpler time when all it took to make a good game was fun gameplay, snappy writing, and a quirky animal companion on your shoulder. Originally hailing from the fine minds over at Naughty Dog, the series hopped to a couple of different developers in its twilight years up until the most recent release in 2013. Now, these platformers will be making their way to the PlayStation 4 as part of its digital offerings. If you'd like to head down a bit of a nostalgia trip, a trailer was released hyping up the release of these games on Sony's flagship console:

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is already available on the PlayStation 4, and now it will be joined by the later titles in the series as part of the Jak And Daxter PS2 Classics. Jak IIJak 3, and Jak X Combat Racing can be purchased for $14.99 each or as a bundle for $39.99. Adding to the throwback theme of this release, the Legacy Dashboard Theme will be available for $2.99. It emulates the look and feel of the PlayStation 2's operating system with a bit of a modern touch added to the mix. You can see the theme in action in this YouTube video uploaded by the developers of the theme.

The games included as part of the Jak And Daxter PS2 Classics represent the totality of Naughty Dog's work as developers on the franchise. Daxter (developed by Ready At Dawn) & Jak And Daxter: The Lost Frontier (developed by High Impact Games) haven't yet been ported to the PlayStation 4. The original trilogy will now have been on three PlayStation consoles considering the release of the Jak and Daxter collection for the PlayStation 3 in 2012. If you'd like to relive some fond memories (or just have a look at some of Naughty Dog's work before the likes of Uncharted), you'll be able to get the Jak And Daxter PS2 Classics on December 6, 2017.

What do you think of the addition of these games to the PlayStation 4's digital library? Which PlayStation 2 titles would you like to see ported to the console next? Let us know in the comments below!
