After connecting successfully to the SonicWALL Virtual Office, are you getting the following error after selecting your RDP?

Invalid connection file

(C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\Low-SecureRDP.rdp) specified

Fortunately, there is a simple fix!

Step 1: Open Internet Options

Step 2: Select “Security” Tab

Step 3: Highlight “Trusted Sites” and hit the “Sites” button to the bottom right of it

Step 4: Add your SonicWALL Virtual Office address (IP or otherwise) to the list and hit OK

Step 5: Try again after logging out and back into the SonicWALL Virtual Office. It should now work!

I had a problem connecting to citrix server. Got same message. Resolved courtsey Rutledge. Thanks !

  • The solution of adding trusted site doesn’t work in windows 10 and IE 11.

  • I have noticed differences between a 32-bit and a 64-bit environment, the 64-bit has a higher security level and does not allow the dumping of information te the location required for the RDP to work!
