It doesn't matter what side you were on for this saga. Weather you were making the Fallout 4: Survivor 2299 fan art or saying that you knew it all along, it has been made official. The Survivor2299.com site was a hoax. 2299final

#NerdTears

I'm sure nerds around the world are feeling the same waves of emotion as I am. I'm not going to recap the whole thing, You can do that here. I'm just going to cover some of the end of it.

Speculation came to my eye around December 4th, when the newest update cussed when deciphered. It said "WHERE THE F**K YOU CAME FROM?" and that's when my ears perked. If it was real, why would they risk losing some of their followers by dropping an F-Bomb? I've played plenty of Rated M games and in none of the advertising would they cuss. This was telling me that it might not be real.

Another thing is if you were ever following the IRC chat (I did) and saw them. There were people, in hindsight, that were talking about the 'tunnel snake' video a day or two before it was out there. They seem to know exactly what was going up on the site so I'm assuming that the guys who did it were involved in the Reddit/IRC as well.

You compound that with Bethesda's tweet : "PSA: If you don’t hear it through an official channel like this, assume all rumors and speculation are false." and then the site starting to change is plans and went to a "Please Stand By" it was going to be now or never. I'm going to guess at this point, there was some pressure by Bethesda to wrap it up or be lawyer'd. So then changes were happening quickly.

If you think that Bethesda will sit around and let this pass, I don't think so:

But to the people who did do this. I hope you have a job in interactive media or something to that point. Game or not, it was a good story. It was fun to crack codes and to read all of the Reddit Speculation. It kept me from doing a lot of things for days itself. So I'll clink a bottle of Nuka-Cola to you! I hope Bethesda takes it easy on you and if you're reading this, we would love to interview you!

Keep checking into this site and we will update you on any news regarding the fallout of the Fallout.
