After the successful launch of the PS4 exclusive Ratchet and Clank last week, the development studio Insomniac Games updated the public on what the studio is working on at the moment. This included the announcement of some previously unheard of VR games, as well as releases dates for some of their older projects. Click here for the full press release from Insomniac.

Insomniac seems to be doubling down on virtual reality, especially the Oculus Rift. The studio announced today that their next steps in the world of VR will include an adventure-brawler by the name of Feral Rites, and a PvP Oculus Touch-enabled game called The Unspoken.

Feral Rites is a VR adventure-brawler set on a mystical island that includes unique areas like jungles and temples. The gameplay surrounding Feral Rites seems to revolve around the different abilities you learn while exploring the island, including the ability to transform into a feral beast. Little else is known about the game's actual story, other than the fact that your reasoning for fighting through these different quests is to avenge your father's death. Feral Rites hits the Oculus Store sometime this fall.

The other Rift exclusive Insomniac is working on is The Unspoken. This is an Oculus Touch-enabled VR game where your character has the ability to perform magical spells using hand motions. With the help of the Oculus Touch, your hand motions in real life input spells in the game that can do things like change the environment around you and summon various forces to help you in battle. In The Unspoken, you have the chance to rise through the ranks in PvP combat, and it comes out this November. For a more detailed representation of The Unspoken's gameplay, check out the reveal trailer below:

Besides announcing these two upcoming Oculus VR games, Insomniac also gave release dates for two of their previously announced games. First up, Oculus exclusive Edge of Nowhere will be arriving on the Oculus Store June 6th of this year, while the 2D Metroidvania-style adventure game Song of the Deep will be released on July 12th. While Edge of Nowhere will be exclusive to the Rift, Song of the Deep will be coming to the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, and Steam. However, through an exclusivity deal with Gamestop, the retail version of this game will only be available on Gamestop shelves when the game is released.

Insomniac also responded to the positive responses and reviews for their newest Ratchet and Clank game, and reminded us that the Ratchet and Clank movie is coming to theaters in just a couple of weeks. The movie hits theaters on April 29th, and you can check out the trailer for the movie below:
