IMO (In My Opinion) Feeding Frenzy 2 - Xbox 360

I'm a very frugal gamer right now. I love the blockbuster titles. I have my money saved up for Titanfall on the 360 when it launches later this month. But I just can't move myself to jump next-gen yet, so I'm cheap-skating it for a while.

During one of the weekly deals I saw that they put Feeding Frenzy 2 up, I had to buy it. Not for me originally, but for my fiancee. I have created a monster of a causal gamer out of her. I lost my original Galaxy Note 10.1 to her because I introduced her to tower defense games. When my daughter came home talking about how cool Minecraft is and that she could play it for days, my wife went out and got it for her for Christmas for the 360. They have taken over that gaming machine during any normal hours of the day.

She loved the original Feeding Frenzy and kicks my butt any time we play, so I decided to buy it and get a head start on her. It's amazing what a little casual gaming can do to you...

I found myself struggling to convince myself how could a NOT play Feeding Frenzy 2 instead of other recently purchased cheap games of mine, like Sleeping Dogs, or Boaderlands 2. I was torn when I would decide to play one of those for a few days, just so that I can play as a fish and attempt to flip out of the water 4 times to get the achievement. I mean come on... You. Flip. Out. Of. The. Water.

You're a fish out of water...and it's awesome.

I was raring to go and was excited to tell her that I got the game on our day off together. I couldn't wait to try out the new multiplayer with her so I can beat her head-to-head in the same pond, instead of just comparing scores. I was excited to destroy her in the new mini games where there are only pearls to get because she always says "you suck at getting pearls, why do you even go after them?" Well woman, I've been practicing...and you're about to go down.

Needless to say, I got whooped. She nearly doubled my fish in every co-op game we played. I would get the "you're doing a great job, keep going" speech from her like she was playing with my 3-year-old daughter. Hell, I'm so crushed that I think my 3-year-old could beat me at this game now. The frenzy parties...of course she was much better than me. I did taste victory every once in a while but I swear that it was only because she let me win.

In My Opinion I think Feeding Frenzy 2 is a great causal game. With the new multiplayer features, it makes it a blast to play with the family. The Frenzy Games are pretty fun and change up the games nicely. As long as you don't make it a competition, any hardcore gamer can enjoy Feeding Frenzy 2 with others. I think I'll go challenge my 3-year-old now to see if I can get some dignity.

You can pick up Feeding Frenzy 2 for the Xbox 360 at the Xbox Marketplace, or for the PC from Amazon
