The third wave of DLC crashes into Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash with four characters from Ikki Tousen getting deposited on our shores. As we reported earlier, this Ikki Tousen partnership is the third of four DLC collaborations, with a release for Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni yet to come. For those not in the know, Ikki Tousen is a multimedia franchise centered around high school girls who duke it out for regional school supremacy. Inside those girls, however, is the spirits of warriors from China’s Three Kingdoms period of history. Now fully reincarnated in modern Japan, the long-running manga series (and associated anime adaptations) see seven high schools battle for turf in Japan’s Kanto region.

Naturally, the physically gifted fighters have decided to lend their talents in Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash. If you ever needed the purest distillation of anime, Senran Kagura would be hard to beat. This latest rush of DLC also includes Basho from Senran Kagura: New Wave. The four characters swimming our way from Ikki Tousen are Lu Meng, Sun Ce, Guan Yu and Lu Bu. The Ikki Tousen pack includes all four girls and their respective fan, flag, doll and outfits, all for $19.99. Alternatively, singular character bundles for each of the girls and Basho are available for $5.99.

As I mentioned earlier, this Ikki Tousen collaborative pack is the third DLC collection to come out for Peach Beach Splash. Before this release was the Super Sonico pack, which saw a vocaloid take up arms in Senran Kagura‘s third-person watery warfare. An interesting combatant choice, to be sure, but seeing as Senran Kagura as a whole has tended towards a, uh, “well-endowed” female cast, it’s no surprise Marvelous would add one of the more popular vocaloids. There’s no word yet on when the Valkyrie Drive DLC will wash up on Western shores, nor if the VR modes it added will come here either.
