This week was a little bit of a catchup week on the Hunt, as some older games released in the last couple of weeks were gotten to, and the releases over the last week didn't appeal as much to me. Again, I try to look at games that stand out to me in some way, whether it be an interesting concept, a genre that I need a fix in, or generally something that was in the right place at the right time.

This week on the Hunt, we take a look at the early access game Victor Vran, which may be a breath of fresh air to the action RPG genre despite it's simple nature. A surprise in Tallowmere pops up despite a lackluster trailer, giving a game that's solid mechanically and you can get a bunch of fun out of, despite being in a flooded rogue-lite genre. Rooftop Cop attempts to go the artistic and casual but fails to register on any level, as it's missing one key element: fun. Over 9000 Zombies doesn't do much to stand out even though it can be fun with the right people, and Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 2 may be a step up from the first episode but still makes me want to hit my head against the wall repeatedly. Social Justice Warriors attempts to draw people in regarding internet controversy, and while having a good message in it, doesn't keep anyone around with it's repetitive gameplay. Mighty Dungeons does its best to emulate the old Hero's Quest board game, but for being a mobile port, it doesn't take advantage of new platform.

Next week is going to be a weird week, because I don't have a 3DS capture card, and one of my anticipated titles, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., comes out. There's also the controversal Hotline Miami 2, which will hope to build on the violent yet fun gameplay from the first game. There's actually a lot coming out next week, so it's going to be interesting to see exactly what I end the week with in terms of the next Hunt.

Any of the games I played look interesting? Anything that you think you're going to pick up? I can't say enough about Tallowmere despite it's lackluster presentation due to feeling a lot different from rogue-lites lately, and I know I'll be playing Victor Vran as it goes through Early Access cause it definitely has a lot of potential. That's if I can tear myself away from Darkest Dungeon.
