In the latest charity-driven Humble RPG Book Bundle, Paizo's Pathfinder has stepped back into the ring. Paizo had a similar deal a few years back with Hell's Rebels, but this bundle features a different AP. While that bundle featured the first three books of the Adventure Path, players can purchase all six Shattered Star books in PDF format. This bundle commemorates Pathfinder first edition's 10th anniversary.
Shattered Star, debuting August 2012, is a throwback to classic D&D dungeon crawls. Like all Pathfinder Adventure Paths, it spans six books while taking the players from 1st level to somewhere in the mid-teens. It also acts as a continuation of Rise of the Runelords (a Pathfinder classic), along with Jade Regent (a grand journey) and parts of Second Darkness (a Darklands campaign). In addition to the Adventure Path, the bundle includes the Beginner Box, Core Rulebook, Bestiary 1, and the first four installments of the We Be Goblins! modules. Additional materials include setting guides for the various races, people, monsters, and locations found in Varisia and the Inner Sea region. But Pathfinder isn't the only system available in the bundle. A purchase of $18 or more also gives the buyer a copy of Starfinder's Core Rulebook. All Pathfinder products are for the first edition of the game.
The bundle comes in four tiers: $1 purchases, $8 purchases, $15 purchases, and $18 purchases. Altogether, the bundle contains nearly 50 PDFs and a one-month trial for Paizo's upcoming Pathfinder Online video game. I've loved running Hell's Rebels for my players. The deal is incredible. Paizo consistently puts a lot of care into their products. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs. There is currently no known cure for the condition. Like all Humble Bundles, it's a great opportunity to get quality products at a very affordable price and help some people out while you're doing it.
