The monthly subscription provided by Humble Bundle always gives subscribers something to look forward to the first Friday of every month. Some titles are well-known across the video game universe while others remain hidden gems, or perhaps they aren’t popular for a reason. July, on the other hand, offered titles that exercised the brain and kept players on their toes.

For the first time ever, Humble Bundle presents subscribers with the opportunity to swap the three Early Unlocks for September (Sniper Elite 4, Tales of Berseria, and Staxel) for Rise of the Tomb Raider. You just have to pay the whopping twelve dollars before next month’s bundle is unveiled, so don’t worry, you still have time to decide. This month, however, subscribers get to experience Conan Exiles and eight other diverse experiences.

First, we get a look at The Surge. In this action-RPG, you awaken from a tragic event equipped with a hardcore exoskeleton. Naturally, everything that moves wants you dead. You can read our full review of The Surge here. The World War II real-time strategy game Sudden Strike 4 is up next. With three lengthy campaigns to battle through, you’ll have to be tactical in order to succeed. Check out our thoughts on Sudden Strike 4 here.

a hat in time
A Hat in Time emits immediate joy to all players. How can you not adore this hat-obsessed individual?

To break up the seriousness, A Hat in Time showcases an adorable 3D platformer experience featuring a girl who sews original hats for magical powers. Following the girl’s expedition is The Escapists 2. Breaking out of high-security prisons has never been so fun. Did you know duct tape is a prisoner’s answer to pretty much everything? You’ll find out for yourself soon enough.

One of the bigger titles in this month’s bundle is Conan Exiles, considering it was in Early Access for quite some time. Conan Exiles provides both a single player and multiplayer experience where your entire goal is to survive in the harsh lands of Conan the Barbarian. Following suit with the survival genre is Kona. You’re trapped in a vicious snowstorm amid an eerily quiet town. What strange happenings will you uncover with your detective skills?

pathologicchd
Pathologic displays some disturbing images - some you won't forget for a very, very long time.

The seventh game featured in August’s bundle is Forged Battalion. In this real-time strategy experience, customizing your faction and commanding war vehicles of all shapes and sizes relies on how you choose to develop your factories and units. Up next is Pathologic Classic HD, a Definitive Edition of the original indie cult classic. Pathologic conveys a story rich experience where players control one of three characters destined to save a town from a fatal plague. Do you have what it takes to be a hero?

The last game in August’s bundle is Woten, a cute 2D puzzle-platform featured as this month’s Humble Original. Every month, a developer gets to showcase their creation that is exclusive to Humble Monthly subscribers. Woten presents a short happy-go-lucky adventure accompanied by talking bats and other adorable creatures. You even get to head-butt your way through obstacles, so that’s pretty cool.

Though every game may not catch your eye, Humble Monthly will force you out of your comfort zone with its collection of original titles every month. Be on the lookout for a more in-depth look at these nine titles later this month!
