The second Overwatch League team from Texas has been revealed as the Houston Outlaws as reported by the league’s official website.

The Outlaws’ logo combines three important cultural elements from Texas: the lone star, a longhorn skull, and a couple of guns (because in Texas, one gun just ain’t ever enough). Their name represents the state’s traditional rebellious streak and their cowboy culture. You can get a peek at how the Houston Outlaws play Overwatch by checking out a video introducing the team’s members and highlighting some of their gameplay. The team’s YouTube channel is also gradually introducing the various members of the team with one-on-one interviews.

The state of Texas is graced with two teams for the inaugural season of the Overwatch League – the Dallas Fuel was the second team name to be officially announced. I’m not sure how they settled it, but the Outlaws must have won the contest for which Texan team gets to have McCree representing them with a custom skin. (It may have something to do with popular Genji player Seagull signing on with Team Envy to play for the Dallas Fuel, the team that happens to be represented by Genji.) McCree is donning the Outlaws’ team colors of green and black with white accents as shown in the team’s skin:

If the Houston Outlaws don’t get themselves a sponsorship from Monster, I don’t want to live in this world anymore. They’re made for each other.

The preseason for the official Overwatch professional competitive league will begin on December 6, 2017, and the league’s first season will follow shortly thereafter on January 10, 2018. You can keep up with the Houston Outlaws on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.

Will you be rooting for the Dallas Fuel or the Houston Outlaws? What do you think of the Houston team’s name and colors? Do you like the custom McCree skin? Let us know in the comments below!
