Hidden Agenda Release Date

First announced during Sony’s pre-show at E3 2017, developer Supermassive Games’ Hidden Agenda release date has been set for October 24 and October 25 for the US and Europe, respectively.

Similar to Supermassive GamesUntil Dawn, player-decisions and one’s quick time events proficiency in Hidden Agenda will heavily affect story sequences as well as who lives and dies. With Hidden Agenda being a PlayLink game, playing together with friends either via online or couch co-op is encouraged as the game focuses on social interactivity. Each player will be given secret objectives to sabotage fellow players’ plans, which ultimately aims to create a tense social experience filled with bluffing.

Hidden Agenda is a PlayLink game that requires a smartphone to play. PlayLink is a new smartphone-focused PS4 initiative by Sony that uses mobile phones as the primary device for controlling the game, thus also making it more accessible to casual players. In Hidden Agenda, players can meticulously browse different in-game files from their smartphones and easily hide their secret objectives from others.

The game is playable solo or up to six other players. A smartphone is required to play this PS4 exclusive.

Hidden Agenda is a third-person crime thriller where the protagonists aims to crack down the case of a serial killer. The game features two female protagonists: a homicide detective and a district attorney. Apparently, the developers were inspired by Until Dawn’s Let’s Plays-filled reception, giving the team an idea to integrate a social experience.

Aside from Hidden Agenda, Supermassive Games is working on several other projects. The team is working on The Inpatient, a PSVR prequel to Until Dawn; and Bravo Team, a PSVR first-person shooting game playable solo or with two-player co-op.
