Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has had its release date announced as November 14, 2017, as reported by DSOGaming.

Players will set out on a journey told many times before - restore your farm and expand your social relationships. Many of the series mainstays will be available in this title including growing crops, raising livestock, and building your farm. The social side of the coin hasn't been neglected either; you can developer friendships with the people in the town. You can also find yourself someone to marry and start a family. GameTrailers released a spotlight feature trailer about a month ago that can give you an idea of what the game will look and play like:

A new feature coming to the game is the ability to repair destroyed homes. Aside from some good feelings, players can use this new game mechanic to unlock new shops and expand their economic empire as some are wont to do. Of course, the focus of these kinds of games is often up to the player, though if they're anything like me they'll do a little bit of everything. The PC version of the game is being released a bit earlier than the developers had anticipated thanks to development proceeding ahead of schedule. This latest game in the Harvest Moon franchise was co-developed by Natsume Inc. and TABOT Inc.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will release on Steam for PC on November 14, 2017, for $29.99 or your regional equivalent. This will be the first time that a game from the franchise will be available for the PC. The game will also be making its way to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. If you'd like to add it to your Steam wishlist, you can check out the game's Steam store page here.

What do you think of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope? Do you think the game will be able to live up to the better games in the series' history? How do you think recent games from this franchise compare to competitors such as Stardew Valley? Let us know in the comments below!
