Halo 4

Halo fans are getting a pleasant surprise today with sources detailing a rumor of an HD bundle collecting all of the games following Master Chief's exploits. Halo: The Master Chief collection brings together Halos 1 through 4 to the Xbox One, with improved visuals and high definition in tow.

The focus of this bundle is on the story of Master Chief, the chapters of which are chronicled through the main series of games. The sources understanding is this bundle will not include side-stories or spinoffs, so titles like Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo Wars will (most likely) not be included.

In addition, any technical specs at this point are unconfirmed. Whether or not these titles will run in a full 1080p resolution is yet to be seen, but I'm sure once E3 rolls around these details will be given confirmation with additional info.

The collection looks to be a product of Microsoft's efforts to put out a Halo release more frequently than the main numbered series can keep up with. 2012's Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary filled the gap for that year, with Halo 4 following the year after. Microsoft has not officially commented, so look forward to more details in the coming month, with E3 just around the corner.
