Guilty Gear's latest edition, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, which is due out on June 7th for Playstation 3 and 4, has been revealed to be getting a "preorder" demo. This demo will be given to all players who preorder the PlayStation 4 version of game over PlayStation Network starting April 5th. Included in this demo are full versions of Arcade, Training, and Versus mode (presumably the offline version). Three new characters will be immediately available in this preorder demo out of the six known to be coming, but it unclear which ones it will be. This offer is not available for the PS3 version as of this writing.

We so far know about six new characters coming to Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-. Series favorites Johnny, Jam Kuradoberi, and Dizzy are returning. Dizzy was chosen by a popularity poll, barely beating out the competition. Raven, a character featured in Guilty Gear 2: Overture (speaking of which, that is now available on Steam as of today), will also be making an appearance. A mysterious female character known as Jack-O Valentine is also making an appearance, serving as a series newcomer. Finally, Kum Hyaehun, who was an NPC in the previous game's story mode, will become playable as a DLC character.

Revelator, on top of new characters and the usual balance changes that occur with each new edition of Guilty Gear, also introduces a number of interesting new features for online lobbies - when it comes to fighting games, anyway. Gematsu has previously detailed information from Famitsu that online lobbies are now 3D worlds where you can fish for extra items for your avatar's appearance while you wait for a match to show up. Arcade cabinets are also in the lobbies, allowing you to practice your skills until you find an opponent. You also play at these cabinets when you go to the actual match, or you can watch matches play out from these cabinets, effectively making the online lobbies virtual arcades of sorts. Cross play between the two console versions will also be available increasing the size of the player pool

Also coming are two story modes; "Episode Mode" which appears to go along with the story of the arcade version, and "Story Mode", which contains a new story for the console version.
