The Humble Spring Sale is still ongoing and the offer to get Age of Wonders III free has come on gone. If you missed your chance to get it, worry not — Guacamelee! Super-Turbo Championship Edition is the next free game on deck! You can get Guacamelee free, but you have to act fast; this offer is only good for the next three days.

In Guacamelee: Super-Turbo Championship Edition, El Presidente's daughter has been kidnapped by Carlos Calaca. Mr. Calaca plans to sacrifice the poor girl in order to merge the World of the Living with the World of the Dead. Understandably, El Presidente would like to stop this from happening very much. Check out the trailer for Guacamelee! Super-Turbo Championship Edition to see what it's all about:

Enter agave farmer Juan Aguacate. Stumbling upon the Legendary Luchador mask, he becomes empowered to be the hero that he's always dreamed of being. You'll use your high-flying luchador powers to navigate levels and bodyslam enemies in this Metroidvania-style game. Can you save El Presidente's daughter? We hope so!

You can get Guacamelee free simply by heading over to the store page and signing up for the Humble Bundle newsletter. This offer expires in three days, so you'd better act fast! You can also grab the sequel Guacamelee 2 at a hefty 60% discount, bringing its price down to just $7.99 or your regional equivalent. The latter offer ends with the conclusion of the Humble Spring Sale on May 23, 2019, at 1:00 PM Eastern.

Quick Take

I own the original Guacamelee. Like many people, I was quite miffed when Guacamelee! Super-Turbo Championship Edition was released as a sort of remaster and yet it offered no free upgrade or discounted path to purchase for existing users. "Free" is about the only price I'd pay for this game after a move like that and I hope that DrinkBox Studios doesn't repeat the same mistake in the future.

Will you grab Guacamelee free during the Humble Spring Sale? Are you going to get the sequel or is the first game enough to satisfy you? Let us know in the comments below!
