Cyber Rhino Studios, developer of Gryphon Knight Epic for PC have recently announced their intention to port the game to the PS4 and Xbox One, and are permanently lowering the price of the game on Steam. Gryphon Knight Epic will now be sold on Steam at a new base price of US$9.99 (down from $14.99), and a 50% sale on the game is being offered alongside this price change until the 14th of March.

SteamSpy data suggests that sales of Gryphon Knight Epic have not been particularly favorable since release - a lifelong concurrent player peak of only 65 players has been achieved, coinciding with a promotion of the game in a bundle deal from Bundle Stars, though no official sales data has been made available. In spite of this, the developers said in a recent post on the game’s Steam Community page that they “are releasing it both on PS4 and Xbox One”, a potentially costly move for an independent studio. The website for the game lists only 3 individuals as active members of Cyber Rhino studios, who in the same Steam Community post indicated a commitment to further polishing the game for the PC - whether the small team will be capable of offering full support for the title on three major platforms remains unknown.

Despite receiving welcome feedback from the game’s community on Steam - achieving a total of 86% positive user reviews as of the time of writing - the game saw generally mediocre critical response, currently standing at a weighted score of 55/100 on Metacritic and 56/100 on OpenCriticStill, potential customers who have been looking to purchase this game may be well advised to do so soon, as - at $4.99 until the 14th of March - this is the lowest price Gryphon Knight Epic has ever been sold at individually.
