Do you enjoy tinkering with gravity? Well, Grobo may be the game for you. This adorable puzzle platformer for mobile devices has been in beta testing for several months and has just wrapped up a successful showing at Play NYC 2019. Now, Hot Chocolate Games have announced the Grobo release date via a press release — it will be launching on October 10, 2019.
Grobo Release Date — Gravity is Great
Grobo is an interesting little platformer where you manipulate gravity. While this isn’t exactly a new idea, Grobo executes it in a novel way — you can move gravity in all four directions. What was once walls and ceilings are now all technically floors, turning each level into a mind-pending puzzle that you need to consider from every perspective.
After several months of closed beta testing, Grobo will be launching on iOS and Android in just a few short weeks. The finished product is going to feature 48 levels, an intriguing story, and beautiful hand-drawn graphics. The soundtrack is being handled by PHÖZ.
We went hands-on with Grobo at Play NYC 2019. The first few levels seem deceptively simple, but you quickly begin to wrap your head around just how challenging this game can be. It’s less of a speed-oriented platformer and more focused on thoughtful choices and movement, so it’s great for playing while you’re stuck on the subway for your morning commute.
If this game sounds like your kind of jam, you’ll be able to pick it up Grobo on October 10, 2019 at a price of $3.99 or your regional equivalent. The iTunes and Google Play pages aren’t up just yet, so for now you can keep an eye on the game’s official website and check out the Grobo Gameplay Trailer below.
