Double Fine's Grim Fandango Remastered has surprisingly popped up on the eShop for the Nintendo Switch according to a tweet from the developer of adventure games.
Grim Fandango Remastered is (unsurprisingly) a remastered version of the classic adventure game Grim Fandango. Originally released on October 30, 1998, it set out to tell the tale travel agent to the dead Manny Calavera. A Special Announcement trailer popped up on YouTube just a short while ago:

This adventure game has the player guiding Manny through his career as a travel agent to the dead. While he'd much prefer to just send the dearly departed on their way for a four-year journey to the afterlife, his co-workers and fellows in the afterlife travel business have been making things rather difficult. You'll play the same day of November 2 in four consecutive years as you seek to unravel a conspiracy of corruption.
Grim Fandango Remastered boasts a number of improvements on its predecessor. Higher-res textures and new dynamic lighting breathe a little more life into the world of the undead. The game's excellent soundtrack has been completely re-recorded with a live orchestra. Fans of behind-the-scenes goodies can enjoy over two hours of developer commentary and a concept art browser.
If you'd like to relive the glory days and take it with you on the road, you can pick up Grim Fandango Remastered for the Nintendo Switch at the eShop for $14.99 or your regional equivalent. PC players can pick it up for the same price on Steam or GOG and at a 70% discount on the Humble Store.
