The online gaming catalog GreenManGaming recently announced they would be saying farewell to their current credit program, as they start to move towards other program types. Currently, GreenManGaming has a program implemented for members where they can receive cash or credit back on purchases. Credit can be stocked up and used to buy other games, similar to models such as GameStop where games can be traded in for store credit. The credit could be used in conjunction with sales, vouchers, and VIP deals, and players could receive credit in numerous ways. Under the new system, the credit program will be retired almost completely, though players can still receive credit for writing reviews, but will not receive credit back on purchases. Their Refer-A-Friend system, which also offered credit in exchange for referrals, is also being revised.

GreenManGaming isn't doing away with credit entirely, but instead will be introducing a new program. The new credit system will still be allowed to be used with VIP deals and vouchers, and can also be gifted to friends. Those who seek refunds for purchases made on the old system will receive the new form of credit instead. Additionally, GreenManGaming is implementing a new loyalty program and hopes to make local payments easier with the new program.

All credit under the current system is set to expire on November 24th, which means players who currently have credit are being told they should spend it while they can, either on their regular titles, one of their weekend sales, or in their VIP room. Response to the change has been decidedly negative, with many concerned about the timing of the deadline (which happens to fall right before the holiday season) and the seeming suddenness of the change. Those with credit to spare should look to spend it quickly, or risk losing it come November 24th. Those who are having trouble with their credit have been told to contact Support for help.
