With tons of remasters being made for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it is not surprising to see another rumored remaster on the way. This time, it is for Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

Eagle-eyed viewers found a listing for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered on a Taiwanese ratings board. The listing, first spotted by the forums on Reset Era, states the game is being published and developed by Mad Dog Games, the team behind NBA Playground and Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn.

The Taiwanese listing also mentions a website, http://playghostbusters.com/, which is currently not active at this time.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game was published by Atari and developed by three different development teams depending on your platform of choice at the time. Three versions of the game exist, the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 version from Terminal Reality, the Wii PSP and PS2 version from Red Fly Studio, and a DS version from Zen Studios. The game, an action-adventure title where players would play as a Ghostbuster and work with the original cast from the movies, was met with positive reviews when released.

The game was also notable for having all four members of the main cast reprising their roles from the film (and being one of the last roles for Harold Ramis, before he passed away in 2014) as well as containing cameos from famous celebrities from the films such as Max Von Sydow, Brian-Doyle Murray, and Annie Potts.

The listing from Taiwan does not say which version is being remastered, though it is more than likely to be the Terminal Reality version of the game.

Other information is scarce, including a release date or even what other platforms the game will be on, though it is likely that Ghostbusters: The Video Game will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.

What are your thoughts on all of this? Think the listing is true, and Ghostbusters are coming back? Leave your comments below.
