Steam Weekend Deals - Ghostbusters - Call of Duty Black OPs III - Mordheim City of the Damned - Batman Arkham Knight

If you play games on PC there are quite a few good deals on Steam going on this weekend! Call of Duty: Black OPs III and Mordheim: City of the Damned are undergoing a Free Weekend along with discounted prices on the games. Ghostbusters: The Video Game (the 2009 title) as well as, numerous Batman titles are also currently undergoing sales.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is currently 75% off over at Bundle Stars. This is not to be confused with the 2016 Ghostbusters video game (which we reviewed). 2009's Ghostbusters: The Video Game features the voice acting talents of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and the late Harold Ramis. It has been called by Aykroyd the third movie in the Ghostbusters series as far as story and place go. Players will use all the standard ghost-busting equipment in a unique story set in the original film's universe. The discounted price ends around 2 days from now and matches the lowest price recorded for the game.

Call of Duty: Black OPs III is currently undergoing a free weekend as well as a sale. The free weekend only features multiplayer gameplay and does not include Zombies or the Campaign. This is the latest Call of Duty title currently available. Call of Duty: Black OPs III is currently discounted 50% for the base game and 25% for the digital deluxe edition. The Multiplayer Starter Pack is not discounted and remains at its original price of $14.99. This particular title currently has Mixed reviews on Steam. The free play time ends Sunday, August 7 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time and the discounted price ends on Monday, August 8 at 10AM Pacific Time.

Mordheim: City of the Damned is also having a free weekend and sale (and was reviewed by TechRaptor). Set in the Warhammer universe, players will act as exterminators fighting gigantic rat men in a turn-based combat system. The long-term Steam reviews are positive, but the recent reviews are Mixed so it may be best to try it out via the Free Weekend before taking the plunge. The base game is discounted by 60% and all of the DLC packages are discounted by 33%. The discounted price for Mordheim: City of the Damned ends on Monday, August 8 at 10AM Pacific Time. The news post doesn't state when the free play time ends, but going by Call of Duty: Black OPs III and past examples it will likely end at the usual time of Sunday, August 7 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time.

Finally, Batman games are discounted up to 75%. The sale page shows a wide variety of Batman titles on offer. Among the titles on sale are Injustice: Gods Among Usthe LEGO Batman Trilogy, and the third person Batman games such as Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year EditionAn interesting note is that Scribblenauts Unlimited is currently considered part of the sale but the DC-themed Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is not on sale. All of the titles in this sale are discounted 75% with the exception of the newest game Batman: Arkham Knight. The new Batman - The Telltale Series is notably not part of the sale with it recently releasing its first episode. The discounted prices end on Monday, August 8 at 10AM Pacific Time.

Correction: Call of Duty: Black OPs III free weekend only covers the multiplayer portion of the game. The paragraph relating to the game has been amended to reflect this fact.

Are you going to try Call of Duty: Black OPs III or Mordheim: City of the Damned while the free weekend is going on? Which Ghostbusters game do you prefer? Which of the Batman games on sale is your favorite one? Let us know in the comments below!
