Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2019. The open-world military shooter promises to have plenty of content for players. However, it seems like Ubisoft is already planning more.
First up are details on the closed beta. Anyone who has pre-ordered the game subscribes to Uplay+, or participated in the online technical tests are guaranteed access to the beta, along with some randomly selected people who signed up. The beta will be available starting on September 5th, and runs the 8th. In addition, Ubisoft is running a little event in the beta called Man Down. The event will track all ghosts that are revived by players, and donate to Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity based on how many characters get revived.
As for content, Ubisoft says the beta will contain two of the game's story missions. In addition, it will have several side quests, called Auroa Missions, and daily Faction Missions. In addition, you'll be able to participate in Drone Arenas and take on several drones, from swarms of lightly armored ones to huge hulking behemoths.
Additionally, Ubisoft has given some details on the Year 1 pass. The pass will be broken into three episodes that will launch every four months, with the first called Operation Greenstone. Details are still light on what exactly the DLC will contain, but a few let slipped included a new playable class and a multiplayer raid. Future DLCs will contain more storylines, raids, PVP content, classes, and more.
Finally, Ubisoft has also announced a book called The World of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, that will release on October 31st. You can pre-order the book on Amazon now, and it will work as an art book, a lore companion, and reference for in-game items. The book will also come with a code for exclusive cosmetic DLC and a map of the game world.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint launches on October 4th, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Google Stadia version available at the launch of the service.
