We're so early into 2019 and already we have all kinds of great new games coming out, and plenty of deals from all storefronts. This week closes out January so subscribers of Xbox's Games with Gold program are at their last chance of getting January's Games With Gold titles before February rolls in.

As always there will be an Xbox One game available for no extra charge for the whole month, one starting on the 16th and going until the 15th of next month and the Xbox 360 titles each get half a month to shine. This month, as we have now seen happen a couple of times, instead of getting two Xbox 360 titles players will be getting one 360 game and one original Xbox game.

For the entire month of February Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is available. Leading on from the successful Bloodstained: Ritual of Kickstarter, that we're still waiting to release, Curse of the Moon was a stretch goal that is a retro prequel to what will become Ritual of the Night. This game is an homage to classic Castlevania titles with a more linear approach and bosses at the end of each stage. In particular, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon takes heavy inspiration from Castlevania 3 to form its design. Super Bomberman R is the next Xbox One Games with Gold. This title returns Bomberman to his roots with a party mode allowing you to get all of your friends together as one of the few titles that support the Xbox One's 8 players local co-op. This multiplayer was even a high point of our review of the game when it first released for the Nintendo Switch. If you're wanting to get practice in on your own though there is a story mode where you travel as the bombers saving the galaxy.

Oh no R2, however, did I end up in this display case

Set sails on high seas in Assassins Creed: Rogue for the first half of Febru-arrrrr-y. Unlike other Assassin's Creed titles that show the rise of a character to the ranks of the assassin in Rogue your character, Shay, begins as one but after a mission gone wrong you turn your back on the creed. After assassins are sent to take you out you need to fight back becoming an assassin hunter. A remaster of this was released where we gave it a 7/10 praising its open world and interesting narrative. From the original Xbox Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy will have players head back to school to become a Jedi taught by the legend, Luke Skywalker. On your journey, you'll get to decide whether you want to fight for the Force or for the Dark Side.

What do you think of this month's selection? Are you glad to see some original Xbox titles appearing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
