July begins this Friday and that means subscribers to the Xbox Live Gold program will be getting access to two Xbox One, and two Xbox 360 games for free as part of the Games with Gold program. A game for each console will be available on the first of the month and then the second game for each console will become available starting on the 16th of the month.

2016 July GWG One

The Banner Saga 2, the sequel to the popular 2014 tactics game, will be releasing on the Xbox One free with Gold. Following from where The Banner Saga left off the world is still crumbling as the Dredge take over. You will need to have your wits about you as you take command of what few heroes are left in the world having to make decisions about how you will proceed in the world.

On the 16th of July Tumblestone will become available. Tumblestone is a local multiplayer puzzle game. Take on your friends in a mix of Tetris and Puzzle Bobble, or if you prefer to play alone then there is a full story mode included. This will also be the Xbox One Debut of Tumblestone.

2016 July GWG 360

For the Xbox 360 the first Game with Gold of the month will be Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Become the ultimate special ops agent that you were meant to be by developing your character not only over single player but also through multiplayer games. With an escalating terrorist threat present in Vegas this will be your last chance to reclaim the city through strategic insertion and surgical accuracy.

The final Game with Gold of the month, becoming available for the Xbox 360, is TRON: Evolution. In Evolution you plan as Anon, a Systems Monitor that is new to his job. You get to explore the world of the grid using free running and battle head to head with a dictator’s army.

It’s still not too late to catch June’s Games with Gold so be sure not to miss out.

What do you think of this months lineup? Which game are you most excited for? Are there any there that you’d recommend?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
