Famous speed-running group Games Done Quick is hosting their annual summer charity stream, with donations benefiting the international medical organization Doctors Without Borders. Games Done Quick has also set up a Humble Bundle featuring titles the group plans on speed-running in their stream, which can be viewed over at Twitch.

The Humble Bundle contains  VVVVVV, Super Meat Boy, Freedom Planet, Escape Goat 2, Dustforce DX, Guacamelee! Gold Edition, Serious Sam Double D XXL, and Serious Sam: The Random Encounter. Additionally, the Humble Bundle comes with a ten percent discount for the first month of Humble Monthly for new Humble Monthly subscribers, as is the case with all recent Humble Bundles. This Humble Bundle is only available with a donation of $15 to Games Done Quick; it's currently unknown if the titles in the bundle will remain the same through the entire charity stream, or if featured titles are on a rotation.

So far, the speed-running group has managed to complete Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo GameCube and is currently working on The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS.

At the time of writing this article, Games Done Quick has raised almost $43,000 for Doctors Without Borders; the medical organization will be receiving one hundred percent of donations raised.

Aside from the Summer Games Done Quick Humble Bundle, there are two other Bundles currently available for purchase; the Sonic Bundle (which ends July 5, 2016), and the fourteenth PC and Android Bundle (which ends in about a week).

The charity stream runs from July 3, 2016 to July 9, 2016. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for continuing news on Games Done Quick and Humble Bundle sales.

Quick Take

I always look forward to watching these guys stream.  Speed-running is impressive to watch, and the atmosphere that Games Done Quick brings to their streams makes it very enjoyable. I don't use the Humble Monthly service myself, but if you want to start subscribing the coupon lets you see if it's something you want to keep using. Most of the games in their Humble Bundle are those you probably already own in your Steam library, but if you need duplicates for birthday gifts for friends or family, it's worth picking up. And it benefits a good cause as well.
