Game Mode for Windows 10 is another step towards Microsoft's goal of having Windows 10 become "the best Windows ever for gaming". Game Mode works to optimize overall game performance for Windows 10 by prioritizing both CPU and GPU resources. This means that you will not only achieve higher frame rates but that your average frame rate will also be higher. To enable this you simply need to open a game, press the Windows Key + G to bring up the game bar, and go into the settings menu to enable Game Mode. While previous reports stated that Game Mode would only work on UWP apps they have now revealed that Game Mode will also function on Win32 apps. As Game Mode continues to be rolled out Microsoft plans to reveal more about this feature. Windows 10 will also be receiving a Gaming section in system settings. In this menu, you will find options to change various keyboard shortcuts, Game bar, GameDVR, and broadcasting.

For the Xbox One preview members will now be able to natively stream games through Beam, a video game streaming service from Microsoft. Said to be using their new streaming protocol dubbed "FTL" streams are meant to have a delay of under one second. Additional features that will also be available through Beam is giving streamers the ability to incorporate simple interactive features such as sound boards. You will be able to natively stream to Beam through both Windows 10 PCs as well as the Xbox One directly through the dash. There will be a new update coming to Cortana allowing you to use voice controls for party commands, and use Cortana to play music. There will also be a UI improvement to make the experience of using Cortana better. The final new feature for the Xbox One comes in the form of Screen Time, a new parental guidance option where parents can set a limit on when your children are able to play Xbox One and for how long they will be able to play for. You will need to make sure that your account and your children's accounts are all set up together as a part of one family.
