The Game Awards Preview Image

Right after the announcement of Best Multiplayer Game, and Best Handheld/Mobile game, we were greeted with a new annoucement from Naughty Dog about Uncharted 4 - a game that they're hard at work preparing to release in March of Next Year on Playstation 4. The announcement, which was just a small teaser of what's to come, give us a clue of who Uncharted's newest character would be.

After a glimpse of some new scenes and a short cutscene in which we see Nathan Drake having a "rough" discussion, we get the hint. The all-new character is Drake's older brother, who is voiced by none other than Troy Baker, a voice actor who has done work such as Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us. From what we see in the new trailer, we'll be spending a good amount of time with him, as well!

Uncharted 4 is currently slated to release on March 18 of next year, and the Beta just went live today for anyone who owns The Uncharted Collection for the Playstation 4. The Beta currently includes only multiplayer content, and will run until December 13, a full 10 days. If you own the game, just have an active save on your PS4 and you can download the beta directly from the Playstation Store.

What do you think of this new development? Are you excited for Uncharted 4?

Quick Take

Definitely an interesting twist in the story of Nathan Drake, and sure to create some new excitement and drama in the story that Naughty Dog is going to bring to us. We haven't seen a whole lot when it comes to Nathan Drake's family, so this new development in his character's story should bring a lot of new questions and answers to fans who want to know more about our hero. I can't wait to find out more.
